In this Late Lecture, the CEO of Danske Commodities, Helle Østergaard Kristiansen, will be discussing the future of the energy markets. With energy prices soaring in 2022 in large part due to the war in Ukraine, prices are now looking to return to a lower level. So what does the future of the energy markets look like and how predictive is it?
Danske Commodities was founded in 2004. They are experts in trading power, gas and certificates across 40 different markets. They are tech driven and rely in large part on data scientists with various different background as well as economists with an interest in data.
For over a decade, Helle has been instrumental in shaping Danske Commodities and growing the organisation from 30 to the +500 employees today. Helle has previously occupied roles as CRO and CFO before becoming CEO in 2019 and has been named one of Fortune Magazine’s 50 international most powerful women three times. She is currently a board member of DSV A/S, Systematic A/S and ARoS Art Museum.
